ABOUT SALMA

Salma Schempp
Stress Management & Meditation Therapist
Salma studied and trained at the International Preksha Meditation Center in New Delhi, India, JFK University, as well as the International Coach Federation. From 2004-2014, Salma also served as the founder and director of the Alternative & Holistic Health Center in Walnut Creek and Fremont California. As founding director, she successfully coordinated numerous events targeting holistic and wellness communities and taught mindfulness & meditation therapy.
"In March 2018, I was diagnosed with Stage IV gastric cancer. I underwent an open surgery and the most aggressive chemotherapy available, so by the end of the treatment, I was a complete wreck. Pain and aches all over my body, my muscles feeling like jelly, severe neuropathy in hands and feet (so bad I couldn’t barely walk) and much more… This is when I met Dr. Lopresti's team, and Salma in particular, and started my meditation journey. Over the past couple of years I learned and experienced many things that greatly helped me to be myself and live my life to the fullest again. Will share below just some of them.
Mind:
Thanks to my sessions with Salma my stress levels went to the lowest possible and now I can tell I am a brand new worry free person. My fears have slowly diminished and almost disappeared, allowing me to see the world from a different perspective. Now I feel smarter, stronger and stay focused only on the things in life that matter the most.
Body:
The first change I noticed is how relaxed my body is after each session. All the stiffness is gone and I feel taller to the point that when I get back to my car I have to adjust the rear view mirror. Unexpected, but I saw a huge improvement in my vision. At the age of 56 I don’t need me reading glasses anymore to read something on my phone, a product description in the supermarket, a menu in the restaurant, etc. Amazing, isn’t it! My neuropathy is also getting better with every session and now I am back stable on my feet, running 5 miles every morning and doing strenuous 9-12 mile hikes on the weekends.
Almost forgot about the breathing. Yes, the first thing Salma taught me was how to breathe properly. Now when I am working out, hiking, delivering a presentation, going to the dentist and so on, I just breathe and the things are much easier. Five years ago, after a very bad flu, I lost completely my sense of smell. Mentioned it to Salma, we started working on it and voila – I can smell the flowers, I can taste the food and I can buy my favorite perfumes again.
Spirit:
The most important discoveries that I made during my journey with Salma is the awareness of Love that I carry for myself and the ability to feel and experience unconditional happiness at any given moment. Long story short, I am now a better person, more accepting, understanding, easier to forgive and always full of joy and HOPE."

"I started to practice your meditation technique every day for about half an hour. I was focusing mainly on my left eye. Apparently it helps.
